1:06am. It’s time for bed, but first, I thought I’d share this email. I figured I would get few of the sort. It’s entitled: "Some miscalculations!"

Good morning MAX. Just wanted to fill in the blanks some regarding the school update on my pc today. I offer you truth, not fiction here and will shoot from the heart, not hip:

1- Marijuana seems a good road. It lies and use of it not only stops your emotional growth, blocks memory (physically) in the brain, but inhibits any/all spiritual growth toward the God Who Does Exist in favor of the devils who are also there... Been there, done that!

2- Contrary to your current belief system, there is only one way to God the Father and that is through Jesus Christ. Bold you say? Yes, but true also. Look at all of the other so-called paths and there is but one that offers a ransom for...SIN! Jesus's shed blood on a cross was God’s intent since Adam and Eve fell into sin. Fell might be a misleading expression, rather they chose sin over the rules God says is ’written on our hearts’. We choose sin over life, especially when we are seeking but have not yet found God’s peace that passes all understanding.

We travel to Mazatlan to bring Bibles to the missionary churches there. We met you at Stone Island during Holy Week, 1999 on the beach. Our intent is to see all come to a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as you may. Find a Bible and read John, the Gospel. Read, if you will Romans 10:9 & 10 and you will not only find out who Jesus is, but the key to set you, too, free.

Please e-mail us again. I will pray for your personal relationship and the atoning work of the only one who will give your life life to work His way and Truth to save your very soul!

In Him,

Steve.

Steve...

Good to hear from you! Thanx for your input.

This morning, I had a meeting with the pastor at the Baptist Church I attended with my family all through growing up and still regularly when home. Last week, I invited the assistant pastor over to my parents house for a chat. This evening, I met with another man from church, also well-studied and wise, at his home.

I was very interested to hear these men tell me why they believe the Bible is the "Word of God." They were respectful of my spiritual journey as well. I am open to God in whatever form it presents itself - including Christianity. So far, my studies only show that all religions are made by man and very much alike - with the intent to guide their followers to lead "better" lives.

Why do you believe the Bible is more "the word of God" than any other book of wisdom and legends which lead its readers to better lives?

I look forward to your response.

Again, thank you for your comments.

MAX

I also got an email from my Mazatlan bud, Stefan, stating that he is at Bishops University, near Montreal, starting is fourth year of school, studying political analysis, international political economy, theory of economic development, and macroeconomics.

I gave him a call and we talked for half an hour.

I got no answer at Samantha’s house.

I asked Judy, the secretary at SJHS, if I could speak to the principal to arrange a slide show for tomorrow afternoon. Judy asked for me and returned a second later with,"No, not enough time to prepare."

I went to Mrs. Desmond, the Media studies teacher, and asked if she would allow her class to see a slide show in the mini theater if I put on a show and charge $2 admission. She said, "Yes", so I went around to all the other teachers I thought were cool and said I was putting on a show last class in the afternoon and their students are welcome. Dr. Roberts got me to come into his world issues class to give a 20 minutes talk on my experiences in Mexico. I’ll likely have a good show and make some dough. I never take "no" for answer.

Tomorrow morning, my mission is to go to the Times Globe and deal for writing a monthly column. I’m beat. Bed time.
