2:18am. The moon eclipsed over mt. Lemmon when I arrived here at my sister Ivy's house a couple nights ago. Her husband John and I enjoyed an awesome view from the backyard hot tub. Several times I've shouted out loud, "WOW! I can't believe it!!! Mt. Lemmon is right there!" Famous for rock climbing, it has been on my list. Tomorrow's Sunday drive to the summit will get me acquainted, but I'm stoked to spend the night and become intimate. I want to know its many faces and see it in different light.
Tonight we ate Sushi watching chefs juggle knives like ninjas and create flaming explosions a meter high on the table in front of our face, and then saw Matrix Reloaded, which had amazing almost bloodless fight scenes, but the plot was thin and hard to grip(or maybe I'm just thick). Best lines spoke of purpose defining a person, giving direction and drive.
I've done a bunch of writing lately and have lots of pictures from Mexico to add to the site, but not tonight. I need sleep. Here's a peek at last week:
Check out this punch from the past... on this day in 2001.
11am. This is a pic shot from Windy Point as we headed up to Mt. Lemmon, where we rode a chair lift to the top--which was 30 degrees cooler than the desert floor and forested with huge pines.
