Portland, Maine, USA

3:57pm I've spent the day on the computer here in the Rippleffect office setting up my digial camera and an FTP program to update the site, as well a trying to hook-up slide show locations and newspaper articles. I got the week off, so I'm thinking about going to the Falcon Ridge Folk Festival in New York with Courtney, who is volunteering there. I called asking for a press pass... but was two days too late. The cost for the three day fest is $70. I'd like to do my show there, but finding power and a quiet dark space might be hard. My other option for the weekend is going climbing in Rumney, New Hampshire with a super-fly girl named Meghan. Rumney is know for having more 5.14s and any place else in the USA. I was there a couple weeks ago and rock-out hardcore with Aaron, my "boss". Yeah... life is good!

This month has been a dream come true. I had other plans with The FAR OUT School and filming Action Hero Training Camp, but I didn't get the grants or loan I applied for, or enough responce from the community, however I am doing what I wanted to do-- guiding "at-risk" youth on kayak trips and allowing them to experience "high elements" like the cargo net hammock 30feet up in the trees and the zip-line down, and filming it all. Rippleffect has three digital video cameras for us to use anytime. And all the staff are great; truely action heros. We even hang-out after hours. Yesterday, Joe, Kate and I surfed kayaks at Higgins Beach. Tonight, Joe and I are meeting with his gang at the skate park.

Yesterday, Courtney and I woke up in sleeping bags on the grass outside a farm house, then spent the morning picking peas, carrots, beats and weeds. The garden is a non-profit project called a CSA: Community supported agroculture. 58 people bought shares in the garden and get a paper bag of vegies each week during the season.
