Roblito, Nayarit, Mexico

Vicky and Gabe's daughter, Diana, and her son, visited for the holidays. Diana lives with two other brothers in Tijuana. She said they enjoy seeing photos of their family and friends in Roblito on solomax.com. People in Palmillas also said they look at the site to see pics from their town. There are not many others sites about these places, so when someone does a search my site is at the top.

It is strange to have so many people seeing intimately into my life. Yes, I've been doing this a long time, but when strangers show me print-outs of my pics... it is just eye opening how far this project reaches.

Another day of Dragonfly Workshop...

Geyardo gave us a tour of his is farm plot, which he calls "el burracho"... cuz he bought it from an old drunk. He gave us handfuls of green beans and we sat by the cow's watering hole explaining why we can't drink the muddy water like they do. They chainsawed down a tree to feed leaves to the cows and Palvino climbed a palm to grab a snack for us. We visited a huge plot of land owned by vicky being rented by a farmed for five months at $1500 pecos, "y nada un frijole..." ...which means... "and she doesn't even get one bean." That's $150US for land the size of a football field, which is what her dad had offered me to use to create the cultural exchange summer camp project.
