2pm. UNB Rock and Ice Climbing Club bouldering competion.
11pm. After the comp, we gathered at Oz's pad. Last night, Oz(sitting on the floor facing the camera), was featured in a documentary about Mars on Discovery Channel. There in his kitchen, he showed me various pieces of his rock collection, and one I found most interesting, Oz said was formed millions of years ago when layers of sand accumulated on pond scum that was one of the first life forms on earth. And there it was... in his kitchen.
I met Oz last year, and knew he was working on a Ph.D., but now that I've seen him as a star TV, in my mind, he's that much brighter. Unless we are close to heavenly bodies, or able to see specific details of their character through a lens, we can take them for granted, because we don't see their brilliance-- their enlightening qualities are veiled by the unknown.
I want to be a star maker and put a spotlight on people with greatness, so others will know they exist and will look to them for inspiration and guidance. The truth is... we are all stars... in our own light. Everyone has something they are good at, or that makes them unique, and some haven't discovered it yet. It is fun to be with those who are seeking-- reaching for the stars. A scene is created in the space these explorers orbit, and star dust rubs off on all who occupy it.
