Venice Beach, California, USA
4:18pm. It is a rainy day in Venice beach; perfect for computer work. So much has happend since the last journal entry, I'm not about to go into all the details.
The Dragonfly Spaceship has engine problems, so after Christmas I'll be taking the bus to Roblito to work on the Community Center for Cultural Exchange. I'm not sure how long I'll stay down there, but if anyone would like to join me and Beth and maybe Meggio... let me know.
Since my new hobby has become deleteing junk mail, I've changed my mail address to solomax[at]gmail.com

Creative Life Principles
0: Believe nothing, entertain possibilities
(therefore everything therafter is offered playfully)
1: Imagination lays the tracks for reality to follow
2: Better to create prophecy than to live prediction
(whatever makes us passive is toxic. whatever makes us active is tonic. this is the difference between predictions which make us passive and prophecy which is active co-creation with the Divine.
3: The Invisible world would like to help us but spiritual etiquette requires that we ask.
(help is always available-operators are standing by)
4:if something is a problem, make it bigger
(blow it up really big and then look at it)
5:we only possess the power of an insight when we give it expression
6: creativity comes from the wedding of Paradox
(we aspire to be Disciplined Wild People who are Radical Traditionalists)
(some words of wisdom to be passed amongst the tribes......)sharing our hearts together......... akasha

The Invitation
by Oriah Mountain Dreamer
It doesn't interest me what you do for a living
I want to know what you ache for
and if you dare to dream of meeting your heart's longing.
It doesn't interest me how old you are
I want to know if you will risk looking like a fool
for love
for your dreams
for the adventure of being alive.
It doesn't interest me what planets are squaring your moon...
I want to know if you have touched the center of your own sorrow if you
have been opened by life's betrayals
or have become shriveled and closed
from fear of further pain.
I want to know if you can sit with pain
mine or your own
without moving to hide it
or fade it
or fix it.
I want to know if you can be with joy
mine or your own
if you can dance with wildness
and let the ecstasy fill you to the tips of your
fingers and toes
without cautioning us to
be careful
be realistic
to remember the limitations of being human.
It doesn't interest me if the story you are telling me
is true.
I want to know if you can
disappoint another
to be true to yourself.
If you can bear the accusation of betrayal
>and not betray your own soul.
If you can be faithless
and therefore trustworthy.
I want to know if you can see Beauty
even when it is not pretty
every day.
And if you can source your own life
from its presence.
I want to know if you can live with failure
yours and mine
and still stand on the edge of the lake
and shout to the silver of the full moon,
"Yes."
It doesn't interest me
to know where you live or how much money you have.
I want to know if you can get up
after a night of grief and despair
weary and bruised to the bone
and do what needs to be done
to feed the children.
It doesn't interest me who you know
or how you came to be here.
I want to know if you will stand
in the center of the fire
with me
and not shrink back.
It doesn't interest me where or what or with whom
you have studied.
I want to know what sustains you
from the inside
when all else falls away.
I want to know if you can be alone
with yourself
and if you truly like the company you keep
in the empty moments.
Excuse me... :)

I had to pick myself up and get on with it, do it all over again, only even better this time.
Confidence is a plant of slow growth in an aged heart.
Parting is all we know of heaven and all we need of hell. An error is the more dangerous in proportion to the degree of truth which it contains.Loving is the only sure road out of darkness, the only serum known that cures self-centeredness.

Advertising is the genie which is transforming America into a place of comfort, luxury and ease for millions. No American worth his salt should go around looking for a root. I advance this in all modesty, as a not unreasonable opinion.
The cross of the Legion of Honor has been conferred on me. However, few escape that distinction.
Give help rather than advice.
Dying is the most embarrassing thing that can ever happen to you, because someone's got to take care of all your details.
If there are things you don't like in the world you grew up in, make your own life different.
Our hours in love have wings in absence, crutches.
